Meet Ecoserv Group’s Executive Leadership, Strategic Direction and Commercial Management team.

Henry Beukes
ChairmanHenry has more than 35 years of experience in the services industry having managed services businesses in South Africa, Australia, and the UK throughout his career serving as a board director of the largest waste management company on the African continent.
A strong entrepreneurial drive led Henry to join Ecoserv Group in February 2012, becoming Chairman in 2017. Henry's focus and passion for service excellence and corporate governance has helped Ecoserv become the success it is today.
As Chairman, Henry has a special focus on business leadership, workforce, and customer relations.

Jean-Henri Beukes
Chief Executive OfficerJean-Henri (JH) has lived across 3 continents (South Africa, Australia and the UK) and has a passion for travelling and networking.
JH and Henry took control of the Ecocleen Franchise in 2017 becoming Managing Director for 3 years before forming the Executive Board and being appointed as CEO. JH’s key skills are Cultural Realignment, Business Development, Commercial Management and Business Strategy.
These have enabled him to lead and empower those around him to take responsibility and drive the business forward. Through taking a strategic approach and ensuring key stakeholder buy-in JH has led the group to grow by 375% (£8ml 2017 to £30ml 2021) over the last 4 years.

Dees Maharaj
Chief Sales OfficerMore than 15 years in the Facilities Management Sector at Bidvest Prestige and Servest South Africa. During this time Dees facilitated the organic growth of the business as well as ensuring that Multi Services Brands were positioned as market leaders through all the group companies.
Developed case by case strategic models which rendered the best returns for the business and the best service delivery to Clients. Dees’ strengths in innovating on the different approaches to market ensured the development of USPS' that created a competitive advantage.
A strong, natural and charismatic leader, Dees knows how to lead a winning team with a professional and positive attitude to achieving success.

Steve Jones
Chief Operating OfficerSteve managed his own cleaning firm in the South West of England, gaining professional knowledge of the industry by managing a diverse range of customers. His specialities include housekeeping, industrial factory cleaning, and post-construction cleaning in the building sector. Since joining Ecoserv, he has been responsible for overseeing the company's operations and providing strategic direction for business activities, in line with the organisation's growth and financial plans.
Steve collaborates closely with the Sales, Finance, Key Accounts, and support teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations, while proactively preparing for the daily challenges that arise. He achieves this by actively engaging with both customers and staff, ensuring that we are fully aware of and responsive to client needs. With his "Can Do" attitude, he is dedicated to achieving operational excellence and maintaining an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction.

Jim Humphrey
Director (South West)After a 20-year career in the police service, Jim joined Ecocleen in 2016 as the regional director for the South West franchise. In 2018, his region was awarded the Mike Tewnion Franchise of the Year award for its performance over the previous year. Jim sold the company in 2021 but remained in a client relationship and sales role until 2023 when he joined Ecoserv FM Group Ltd as a shareholding director.
While his primary focus at the board level is key accounts and cleaning supply procurement, he also continues to be involved in client relationship management and sales in the South West region. Because of his knowledge of the area, he continues to support the team there with operational, HR, sales, and many other aspects of the business.

Sally-Ann Van Blerk
Group Sustainability Director15 years of international marketing experience including 7 years with Ogilvy developing 360 communications for big brands such as Pepsi, Gillette and GSK. Before joining Ecoserv Group, Sally-Ann dedicated 2 years to developing brand strategies for start-ups, including brand identity, communications, online presence, and websites. Acknowledged for building robust and trusting relationships that boost confidence across the entire stakeholder base, Sally-Ann has built a team that delivers media presence, best-in-class lead generation and return on investment, from a standing start since joining Ecoserv Group 3.5 years ago. Sustainability is a core focus for the marketing team as we develop and measure sustainable targets across the group and help customers to deliver on their own goals for a better future for the planet and people.

Lisa Turner
Client Relationship DirectorLisa has 37 years of experience in Marketing, Business Development and Operations. The first 15 years were spent in Marketing and Business Development for blue-chip companies such as Schwarzkopf Hair Care and the Walt Disney Company, significantly growing the retail market share for feature films and launching the first Disney computer games into the UK marketplace. A change in career path led her to the services industry in a business development role with The JPM Cleaning Group for 9 years securing high-profile clients such as Warner Bros, BBC Studioworks and Swiss Post until joining Ecoserv Group in April 2021. Lisa's unique combination of operational understanding and developing client relationships has led to her position as Client Relationship Director, where she champions Ecoserv's values of partnership customer service excellence and sustainability.

Shaneen Storm
Group Marketing DirectorWith over 23 years of experience in the Marketing industry, 12 of which have been specialising in the Cleaning industry, Shaneen heading up the South African team for Ecoserv. Prior to joining Ecoserv, Shaneen was responsible for driving the business growth and marketing strategies for global platforms at Servest and Bidvest. Shaneen's skills include strategic marketing, brand development, brand positioning, digital marketing, above and below-the-line marketing, design, photography and multi-media. Shaneen is a talented & resilient leader acknowledged for trailblazing and pushing global brands leaps and bounds. She currently leads the high-performing SA team, is ambitious, determined and goal-driven, and envisages making an impact by driving business growth.

Praneel Matai
IT and Innovations DirectorPraneel has over 2 decades of experience within the FM environment. He has designed and developed bespoke online software that assisted in better and faster customer engagement vis online app-based technology, allowing businesses and clients to have real-time information. He has global experience and drives innovation through technology.

James Whelan
Group Operations DirectorJames Whelan serves as the Group Operations Director, overseeing and managing the operational activities of the organisation in its entirety. His role entails developing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, improve processes, and drive the overall success of the organisation.
With more than 19 years of experience in facilities management, James has specialised in managing contracts for various sectors, including the UK Government, the NHS, charities, Higher Education, and financial institutions. His expertise spans across Soft, Hard, and Total Facilities Management, earning him a strong reputation in the industry as a skilled and accomplished leader.
Daily, James provides invaluable support to the group, whether it be in relation to bidding, mobilisation, or operational and financial improvement. His contributions greatly contribute to the organisation's ongoing growth and success.

Aseema Rauf
Finance DirectorAseema Rauf appointed in 2023, is the Finance Director at Ecoserv, with the responsibility of providing strategic financial leadership, expert advice, and guidance on all financial matters related to operational services. Her focus is to ensure financial stability and sustainable growth.
She obtained a Honours in Accounting from The University of South Africa, then qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Reyneke Erasmus CA (SA) in 2000. For 17 years at the SABC, the public broadcaster in South Africa, with the last 4 years as General Manager of Finance for Television. Under Aseema's direction, she led significant strategy alignment, as well as an improvement in the calibre of financial data, planning, and operation.
At an operational level, Aseema’s expertise ensures that sound financial processes and systems are in place, enabling staff to effectively contribute towards achieving the strategic ambitions of Ecoserv.
